We know for sure Kitaro wrote it for the movie "Homecoming 似水流年" in 1984! And released the song on his forth coming album 西方!

Without 黎小田 Michael Lai there was no 似水流年! It's like Anthony Lun with Sandy Lam's & Anita's songs! They were actually "co-written by". Original didn't fit in as a vocal performed song! So the arranger (Anthony/Michael) had to come up with additional music to make it work as a song!
